However, simply owning carpal tunnel braces and splints is not good enough. You have to know how to use them. For example, if symptoms have appeared, never wear a brace during the day. Contrary to popular belief, only brace your wrist while you sleep. Bracing during the day, when you hand works, causes you to fight the brace. That stresses the carpal tunnel even more.
Also, make sure your brace does not have a metal spine on the palm. This will put excess pressure on your carpal tunnel when your hand bends backward. While you sleep, you can over-bend your hand, and that will do more harm to the carpal tunnel.
